SCPL is a pioneer manufacturer of composite materials and electrical insulating parts in India.
SCPL has its inception since 1972 as a manufacturer & supplier to india's largest heavy electrical manufacturer M/s Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited Bhopal.
The foundation was laid by Shri Surendra Prasad Shrivastava an Ex BHEL entrepreneur who was having a vast experience and knowledge in coils and insulation field. During very initial days company was confined to activity of conversion of composite materials to electrical insulation parts by way of machining process in name of Surendra Engineering works.
In last 10 years SCPL has developed its own composite materials of international standards making self dependence by way of backward integration. We have in-house manufacturing of composite materials and a state-of-the-art CNC machine shop. We have a vision to develop in the same field as a one stop shop for Electrical Insulating material needs of Heavy Electrical Equipment manufacturers specially for OEM's.
We endeavor in field of meeting new challenges by developing materials as per customer / market needs. Today we have materials meeting DIN, IEC, IS, BS, NEMA etc standards. We also have PGCIL , ISE (BHEL) and various customer approvals for products, We are also under process of RDSO & DMRL approval for our Surendra has comprehensive range of electrical insulating materials and parts for OEMs of electrical transformers, motors, generators, switch gears and other electrical equipments.
SCPLnew expansion at Mandideep Bhopal is to increase capacity, product size, product variety for upcoming need of power equipments as per India's prime minister policy - "Power for every individuals citizen." Thus serving the nation.
SCPL is making various composite material with base materials like Wood, Glass Fabrics, Cotton Fabrics, Kraft paper, Paper pulp ( Cellulose), Bamboo Mats, Jute Fibers, Carbon Fibers and many natural & Synthetic fibers or fiber rich materials. These basic material are coated or impregnated or dipped or kiss coated with variety of formulated resin matrix to improve their electrical and mechanical strength to ensure a quality composite product complying to various national and international standards.
We use Epoxy, Phenolic, Polyesters, Alkyd, vinyl-esters, silicon resins modified chemical adhesives as resin matrix as binder. Process involves pre drying, intermediate drying, curing , pressing, cutting, machining, winding, molding to get final products.
Fabrication of parts from composite materials
Composite materials in the form of Sheets, Boards, Hollow Pipes, Solid Geometrical Profile are used for making fabricated parts as per customer requirements. These process may involve Cutting, Turning, Sawing, Shearing, Punching, Dowelling, Chamfering, Thickessing , Scarfing, Drilling, Shaping, Routing, Scoring, Milling, Grinding, Tapping, Threading Pasting finishing packing etc. all operation being performed by skilled person with advance technology machines. A detailed quality check from procurement of raw material to in-process and then at final product level is done to ensure fitment to use as per customer expectation.
